Spring

Tuna, Snapper, Grouper, Bonito

The best time to actively fish for tuna with a spinning rod is in April / May or October / November, with spring definitely standing out.

At this time of year, large shoals of anchovies cavort off the coast, where the tuna eat themselves into a veritable frenzy during so-called feeding frenzies.

You can feel the excitement in the air at moments like this, when the sea is boiling and the fish are feeding greedily. With precise casts, the lures land in the turmoil and the spinning rods are gripped tightly with tension. Heartbeats accelerate as soon as the fish snap and the reels screech. Every bite is an intense battle that requires skill and patience. And when an impressive fish finally lands on the boat, shouts of joy and pride cannot be ignored. It is these magical moments that make fishing an unforgettable adventure.

At this time of year, small rubber fish on a sbirolino rig are the preferred bait, but jigs or stickbaits are also successful.

If the tuna take a short break from feeding, we use the time to devote ourselves to fishing for dentex and grouper. With the help of our state-of-the-art echo sounder, we track down the best spots for these coveted fish and then go hunting vertically with jigs or soft lures.

Summer

Spearfish, Mahi Mahi, Albacore, Tuna, Bonito, Barracuda

From the end of May, when the water temperatures slowly rise and the large schools of tuna have moved away from the coast, we prefer to switch our fishing to the open sea. For light trolling, we use a so-called "spread" of up to 6 rods tipped with hard body lures and feather lures,

to catch spearfish, mahi mahi, albacore and tuna in the 15 kg class. Once the fish have been found, multiple drills are not uncommon.

On the open sea, however, there are always large feeding frenzies, which we then actively target with the spinning rod.

Experience not only exciting fishing moments, but also magical encounters with sea turtles, playful dolphins and majestic fin and sperm whales. The opportunity to see these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat will enrich your charter tour and make it unforgettable.

However, if you prefer it closer to the coast, rest assured that there are plenty of strong fighting fish here too, such as bonito, barracuda, dentex and grouper, which we can get on the line.

Autumn

Amberjack, Leerfish, Bonito, Bluefish, Tuna, Spearfish

When the hustle and bustle of the big yachts and sports boats dies down in September and the fry of mahi mahi, amberjack and tuna seek shelter close to the coast, the large predatory fish also return to feed on the shore. This is the absolute peak season for large amberjacks, leerfish, bluefish, bonito and tuna.

We know the underwater pinnacles and drop-offs where the predators hang out at this time of year when they are in their feeding phase. In these places you can experience true fishing highlights.

Although we prefer fishing with lifebait at this time, artificial lures can also be very effective. Our extensive knowledge and experience allows us to offer the perfect bait.

Winter

Snapper, Amberjack, Grouper, Bonito

In winter, dentex, grouper and amberjack are clearly the center of attention. At this time of year, squid migrate from the depths of the sea to shallow bays to spawn in the spring. These squid are the absolute favorite food of our coveted predators. A typical day's fishing therefore often begins with catching bait, which we then take to various plateaus and underwater mountains.

We use our echo sounder to search for active fish in the area. When we find them, the fun can begin. We usually use two to three fishing rods and fish the structures or drift over them. Our lures are offered just above the bottom until the absolutely brutal strike comes. It's a fishing method with incredible addictive potential!

The best thing about it is that we can usually enjoy this exciting fishing situation in sunny weather and pleasant T-shirt temperatures. There is nothing better than being on deck in such a pleasant climate, feeling the warm sun on your skin and experiencing the excitement and thrill of fishing at the same time.

In short, winter is not only the perfect time to catch hard-fighting fish, but also a wonderful opportunity to escape the wintry weather and recharge your batteries while fishing under the warm sun and enjoying unforgettable experiences.
